Sometime about 1790 or later David Clements with his family moved from
Petersburg,
Virginia to Hancock County, Georgia and settled in Sparta, one of the first
settlers of that
town. His wife having died in Petersburg, Virginia, his family consisted of
his mother and a
sister and six living children as follows: three daughters, Sallie, Eliza
and Elizabeth and
three sons, John, Stephen and David.
Looking for ancestors and desendants of David Clements. See the following

Does anyone remember a genealogical service on Clement/Clements out of Baton
Rouge during the 1960's? I subscribed for many years, and received a
quarterly publication with information and questions - like ROOTS. After
several moves, I discarded many of them, but would like to know if his
resources are still available, perhaps in the library at Baton Rouge.
I think the man responsible was a Bill Clement.
