Trying to find the parents of Nancy Clements(1843-1895) who I beleive was born
around Lanier or Berrien Co, GA. She married Thomas C. Giddens who joined the
29th GA infantry and died. No children were born of the marriage. Around 1864,
she married William Hosea Peeples who had also been in the 29th. They came to
Fl around 1869. She is not the daughter of David Clements and Jincey Sirmans.
I have a very short Clements line of one person and have been unable to add
anything further in 25 years of trying. I would appreciate any help or insight
on this line---Tom

I have been looking for information for a while with little success on William
J. Clemans. I know that he was born in Georgia and moved to Asotin Co.,
Washington but could not get any further until yesterday my sister told me
that he later settled in Arizona somewhere and was a cattle rancher and found
oil on his land.
I am now concentrating my search in Arizona to find out anything I can about
him and the legacy he left. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

The problem has obviously got to be with the Digest format, as I'm getting no
duplicate messages in List format.

Is there some reason why I got 7 emails of this same thing with 5 or so
email postings of the same person?

Many Clements families are in the county which was surveyed by Hardy Clements.
The elderly who knew how the various families were related have passed away.
A common first name in the descendants of Jacob & Gabriel is Manning (Mannen,
