Seeking information about Timothy CLEMENT, who died in the Civil War in April, 1864. He married (?) Louisa TRASK and had a son, Lucien Mills CLEMENT, born in June, 1864 in Waterville, NY. Lucien lived in Palermo, NY with George TRASK (relation to Louisa unknown at present) in 1870 as per census. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone:
There was supposed to be an article in the Chicago Tribune about Capt. Ben's
family Bible. This article was the source from which Maude Carter Clement
published the birth records in the late 1920's. Does anyone have a copy of
the original article?? Or a publication date??

Can you throw any light on ancestors from area of Austria of Jewish descent?
My greatgrandfather traded his name with a friend to avoid the draft in
Austria. He became a Bronznick. I know borders changed quite a lot so I am
interested in that whole general area.

What was your great grandfather's name and some of his descendants? I've not
heard of any Clemons from Austria but do have Clemons who settled in Georgia.

I have Clemens in what used to be Austria-Hungary. In order to help you;
you will have to be more specific in regard to names and locations. It also
helps if your own name appears somewhere in your message.

Louise,
Is it possible that your grandfather was John Abner Clements? I have heard a
similar story about the Vanderbilts. John Abner was apparently a character.
I could put you in touch with a second cousin who is a descendent of John
Abner Clements and knows more about this. He is not on-line - I would have
to give you a snail mail address.

This may only add to the confusion. My father, Marvin Edward Clements was
born in Indiana, (1903-1904). One of 13 children..What got my attention to
your notice is the middle name of Harry (Jack)..... {Cornelius}.....we
believe that my fathers mother was a Vanderbilt, and Cornelius is one of the
preferred given names.
Louise
My father Marvin Edward Clements, was born in Indiana (1903-1904). I am
thinking there must be a connection of some kind. I believe his Fathers name
was John......and rumor has it John was mary to a Vanderbilt. Have not been
able to confirm the Vanderbilt connection. But it is intriguing.

Hi!
I am interested in any information I can find on William P. Clement who was
born in Vermont on 10-25-1835, He was the son of Jonathan G. Clement and
Sara Waterman. He married Sara Warner in New York on 9-4-1855 and moved to
Wisconsin where he died 6-2-1922.
Does anyone know where in Vermont he was born? Who were Sara Warner's
parents and where in New York were they from? Does anyone have any
information on his children?
Thanks for your help.

My IP tells me, after my complaints, that MCI has a problem (small
understatement?) and it affects many Internet sites and
transmissions.
And, while I'm writing, taking up bandwidth, anyone find anything
new on a Jane Clements, b. abt 1793, PA; mairred Archibald Wiley May
20, 1822, Belmont County, Ohio. May have had a brother Alexander,
(who also married [Jane Rush] in 1822 in Belmont County, but had no
witness/informant for his marriage applicaiton as Jane did) father's
name likely Gurnan or Gurian/Gurion Clements. Jane Clements Wiley's
son, Thomas, who married Rebecca Cox and moved to Iowa, named his
son Gurnan Clements Wiley, born 1870, died 1953 somewhere in
California. Even if anyone could turn up anything on their grandson,
Gurnan Clements Wiley in Californai, I'd be very grateful!
