Henry Adam Clement was my great great grandfather. My great great great grandfather was Henry Clement III and married Mary in 1760. My many greats grandfather was Henry Johan Clement from Darmstadt Hessen and married Sophia Schweissguth from Nassau Deggerndorf Bayern Germany. Henry Johan was born in 1736. My great grandfather was Godfrey Adam Clement. Based on what I have been able to discover Henry Johan and Sophia both died in Davidson County, NC. To my knowledge almost all the Clements descended from them stayed in that area until my generation. Does any of this seem relevant to your ancestors?

If you could scan the photo and email it to me I would be most appreciative. Do you live in Clifton? My mother's family lived there when she was growing up and she passed away in 2004 in the Lutheran Sunset Home. My grandmother's wedding dress was in the Clifton museum at one time ... I'm sure it's not on display, but I presume they still have it. Many relatives are buried in Clifton.

Joseph is pictured in the 1926 edition of The Old Mill, yearbook of Clifton High School, and is a senior. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.
