Henry and Elizabeth Clement are 2 of my great, great, great grandparents in New Orleans. I think Henry's father's name was William. They were bankers and investers. One of Henry's daughters, Ann Eliza Clement, born Jan 4, 1801 married Benjamin Story, my gggrandfather, born in New Jersey in Dec 19,1784, also a banker here in N.O. I believe William and/or his son Henry came to N.O. from New York or New Jersey where they were working in investments and banking. Any info on these Clements who came to N.O. would be appreciated.

I have a photocopy of the bible pages giving this information. He original bible was sold at auction at a church rummage sale by Mr. Glover who had donated it to the sale. I spoke with him several years ago, but he has no knowledge of where the original bible ended up.
I have researched this Samuel S. Clement seriously for a long time, and I cannot connect him to the other Clement families in and around Haddonfield, Newton, Salem, Deptford.
I have photographs of Samuel and Abigail's tombstones in the Haddonfield Baptist Cemetery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My mother is a Clement from the 1740 in New York branch. Thomas > Darius > Thomas > Darius Albert > Raphael > Mom

Our Clement tree shows that son George had son Gregory(the Regicide)who was brutally executed by Charles the 2nd in
1660. His son James went to Long Island and his descendants ended up in New Jersey in Gloucester County.
Our branch went to Sunbury, Pa. and later to the Philadelphia area.
Check the Visitation of Norfolk book on line via Google.
We are looking for a color copy of the Family Crest and Arms
Happy New Year and thanks

Thank you for your info. Very thorough early book on Clement.
No one has given thorough birth and marriage info on Gregory. After his gruesome execution in 1660, no one
can show how his son James got to America and who his wife is.
One record shows he was endentured servant in order to
gain passage to America. No confirmation of this yet!
