Hey Bill,
So good to hear from you again. We corresponded about 6 or 7 years ago. you sent me your Clement file on the descendants of Andrew Clement. I am a descendant of William Wesley Clement, brother of Mannon. I think we even talked on the phone. You may remember me because I live at Reagan, OK, just a few miles from Mill Creek. I have a lot of new info to give to you.
Maurice Clement, who is also a descendant of your Mannon, and my uncle, Lelan Clement, both took the Clement/Clements/Clemons y-DNA test and both of our test results we are a perfect match with three descendants who are proven descendants of Anders Clementson, immigrant settler in New Sweden in 1654. Anders later moved on to Cecil Co. MD, became a US Citizen, and changed his name to Andrew Clements.
E-mail me at lkcopelanier(a)hotmail.com and I will give you a lot more info.
I also need to get some info from you. In the original papers that you sent me, it says that the parents of Andrew Clement who married Sarah Skaggs were James Clement and Catherine Unknown. Do you have any documentation on this person as Andrew's father? I have a lead on a James Clement who was in Burke Co. NC in 1790 who may be our James.
We also have perfect DNA matches with a descendant of Emanuel Clements and Martha Hardin of Gonzales Co. TX, Jacob Clements and Frances Sims of Tuscaloosa Co. AL, William Clements and Anna Thacker of Walker Co. AL (William's father was named Mannon Clement and he was in Green Co. KY in 1905 listed on the Tax List next to Jacob Clement, named above). This Mannon died in Bedford Co. TN in 1810. I am in contact with one of his descendants and she just sent me a copy of the family Bible page that documents this.
Wow! I have so much more to tell you. I am so glad to finally find you again as you are responsible for giving me my first information on who my Clement family was.

Hi,
Riley Clement was my GGrandfather. He is son of Bluford, son of Mannon, son of Andrew married to Sarah (Sallie) Skaggs. I am very interested in this conversation. Especially, that Joseph is Andrew's brother and the Swedish connetions (new to my research). Not sure if this is relevant, but the Clement boys of Riley's were all 6-5 to 6-7. My Grandmother, was 5'11 and at least one of my female cousins, 6'1. Hope to hear from you soon.

Kaye, thank you for this information. I did not have John Clement's parents names. I do have the information on Joseph and Mahlon. My brother in law (who I am looking this information up for)comes down through Joseph and Susanna (Baker) Clement.

Louise,
I would love to share some Clements family info with you. I am researching the descendants of Anders Clementson, the immigrant settler in New Sweden. My uncle's y-DNA test was a perfect match with three persons who are descendants of Gabriel Clements, son of Andrew Clements, brother of your Joseph Clements.
I've been researching the descendants of both Andrew and Joseph, trying to find the connection between their families and my ggg-grandfather, Andrew Clement who married Sarah Skaggs in Green Co. KY in 1793. I have collected a vast amount of information on these Clements, but have still not found that "one" person who is our connection to this family.
Peter Craig of the Swedish Colonial Society suggested that I try to contact you for some documented evidence you have on this family. Thanks.

I can give you a little information on this couple. Hannah Tripp was first married to Samuel Eggleston (also sometimes spelled Egelston). Samuel was the son of Amos Egleston and Patience Bennent. Samuel and Hannah lived in Steuben Co. NY until about 1813 when they sold their land and moved to Campbell Co. KY. About six months later, Samuel's father died and his mother and several of his siblings joined him in Kentucky. About two years later, Samuel died and Hannah then married John Clement.
I don't have any info on Hannah's parents, but do have a little info on Joseph and Mahlon, sons of John Clement and Hannah Tripp.
Samuel Egelston was the oldest brother of my ggg-grandfather, Amos Egelston who married Amanda Streeter Sept. 24, 1817 in Campbell Co. KY.

Brenda,
I have info on your Clement family. Ollie Marie Clement was the daughter of James Riley Clement, son of Abraham Clement and Frances McClure. Her siblings were Henry, Minnie, and James Riley "Monk".
Abraham's parents were William Wesley Clement and Elizabeth Skaggs.
Ollie and her husband Eddie General Richardson are both buried in Caddo Cemetery, Bryan Co. OK. Ollie's father, James Riley Clement is also buried in Caddo Cemetery, Bryan Co. OK.
James Riley Clement's wife was Ellen Barns. I have no other information on her except that she was first married to "Unknown" Turner and they had a son named Ed.

Hi!
My line is as follows: Sabra Clements daughter of
Abraham Perry Clements. Sabra married my Gr Gr Gr Grandfather John Jack Walker. My Walkers moved from South Carolina to Irwin County around 1820. John's grandfather was in the American Revolution in SC. I believe Sabra's grandfather was in the Revolution in SC too! I believe thats where the 2 grandfathers met each other. But I think the Walker Clements connection goes back further than that. Of course I can't prove that Yet, but I'm working on that! Would love to hear from others who are researching the Clements. Thank you!
Beth

Are you sure about the dates. I have never known any one to marry by the age of three (3). If you look at the dates you have written, Charles is born in 1818, and he's married in 1821. That is just impossible. So, you may want to re-look at the dates you have written.
Hope that helps.

Seeking information on Charles Clement b. 15 Feb 1818 married Sarah A. Bromley b. 06 May 1821. The research todate has identified the possiblity that Frederick Clement b. 27 Jun 1799 was Charles brother. Frederick's wife is Olive Mallory b. 20 Jan 1802. I have been able to locate very little information about Charles and his parents or sibblings. There is a reference in a letter sent by Frederick to his father believed to be Stephen Clement which identifies Charles. What I'm looking for is any information about the rest of the family parents sibblings etc. Also where Charles may have been buried there is a card in the Jefferson County poor house index card file with Charles' name on it but I'm not sure this is the proper person. Any information would be very helpful Thank you
