Hello,
I am researching the following family.
Thomas CLEMENT (1784-1865) married between 1805-1807 to Elizabeth (surname is either WHALEY or WILSON) (1789-1868).
Thomas and Elizabeth had at least 4 children, the eldest of whom was born about 20 yrs after they were married. I suspect that there were a few older children born to this couple.
The 4 children are:
(1) Thomas (born 1826) m. Mary (surname unknown)
(2) George (born 1827) m. Elizabeth ATKINSON on 07 Jul 1852 in Stockton, Durham, England
(3) Jane (born 1829)
(4) Benjamin (1833-1894) m. Frances (Fanny) BLACKETT on 27 Apr 1853 in Stockton, Durham, England
All 4 children were born in Egglescliffe, Durham, England.
I am interested in ANY information regarding this family.
Thank you for your interest.
Shannon

This is a query on Surname: Clement, or Clément.
I am interested to hear from someone who may have knowledge of or having researched my family's name, originating from its European roots (Germany and France).
Thank you!

Looking for anyone connected to Carl Joseph CLEMENT, born circa 1861 in Belgium or Luxembourg, immigrated to the USA from Breman, Germany in 1882 with George CLEMENT (possible brother of Carl Joseph CLEMENT).
Possible parents (or close relatives) of Carl Joseph and George CLEMENT could be Perry (or Pierre) CLEMENT and his wife Ann RICHARD of Luxembourg, Belgium or Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Possible sister or cousin would be Josephine CLEMENT (married Michel STEPHANY) of Heinstert, Luxembourg Province, Belgium.
George CLEMENT, born 1860 in Belgium or Luxembourg, immigrated to North Java, Wyoming County, NY in 1882. Married Ellen (born about 1853 in NY of Irish parents, last name unknown) in NY.
George CLEMENT died 1923 and is buried at St Nicholas Cemetery, North Java, NY.
Other than an immigration record nothing further is conclusively known about Carl Joseph CLEMENT.
Thanks.

Gail, I think you must be related to me. I bet you have already made the connection to our family through my dad, Dorlen Groleau. Your mom was my dads half sister. His mother Lucille Clement gave birth to your mother out of wedlock. Your mother was raised by Lucille's sister Margarthe. Small world huh?
