I believe my husband is also a descendent of Robert. David Clement was born in Haverhill in 1793. He married Eliz. Ayers. and move to Derry, NH. They had a number of children. Charles Henry was my husbands great grandfather thru his daughter Nellie. I do not know if any of the male line is still alive.

HI Everyone,
I'm looking for information regarding my Great-Grandmother Enidza CLÉMENT. She was born in 1870. She married Alexandre LEBLANC in Ste Catherine RC Church, in Ste Catherine d'Hatley on April 23, 1894. The story in my family is that Great Grand-ma was First Nation (Native American). Could anyone provide me with leads to confirm this information. It was never really discussed in my family and was always accepted as fact. I would like to know more about that side of my family if it is true.
Her father was Alphonse CLÉMENT and mother was Justine LANGLOIS. They married on October 6, 1863 in St-Patrice RC Church in Magog, Quebec.
Alphonse CLÉMENT's parents were Etienne CLÉMENT, father and Francoise PÉPIN, mother. They were married before September 7, 1843.
Justine LANGLOIS's parents were Joseph LANGLOIS, father and Justine ST-JACQUES, mother. They were married before October 14, 1846.
Last summer, I met Denis Longpré, owner of Nature Autochtone, a souvenir shop in Eastman, Québec. He believes that if my great-granmother was First Nation she would probably be Abenaki, because Québec's Eastern Township was part of their territory.
Any information would be appreciated.

Sounds good. Let me know what you find and I'll try to make the connection, if possible. Also, I've submitted my DNA information to Family Tree DNA. Is that who you used? We might learn something from comparing info. You can contact me off-list at dave(a)coloradoclement.com.

I have wanted to join the DAR for some time now but, am not able to find documentation to support my claim via William Cheatwood (or Chitwood), Virginia (1716-1787). If anyone on here has joined the DAR via W.C. and would be willing to copy me their documentation I would greatly appreciate it!! I have sort of hit a block when it comes to hard evidence! He was confirmed on their patriot lookup but, linking him back to me is giving me a problem.
My line is ...
William Cheatwood, Sr -> Lancelot "Lotty" CHEATWOOD -> Robert Richardson CHEATWOOD -> Francis Marion CHEATWOOD -> Nancy Jane CHEATWOOD -> Mollie (Mary Melissa Louisa Paralee) HUBBARD -> Sylvester CLEMENT -> Nellie Brownie CLEMENT -> Terry Weaver
:) Thanks so much for your time! I really appreciate it!

Hi Ron,
I have several Charles Clements in my file, but none married to Anastesie Galarneau. All were from Quebec. Do you know what parish they attended in Canada? That would help. You can look at my data on Rootsweb-best way to connect is to search for Prosper Clement, then go from there. Perhaps we connect somewhere back there.

I'm searching for information on my CLEMENT line. Specifically, I am searching for information on my grandfather, Charles James CLEMENT. He was born 1 Apr 1869 in Suncook, NH. His parents were Both born in Canada and at the time of his death in 1926, his obituary said he had two sisters living in Canada and one brother, Ellie D. CLEMENT, residing in Nethuen (probably Methuen), MA. I have his complete lineage from his marriage to Anna Marie Specht in 1902.
Also, the following quite probably is correct (at least in part):
a). Charles James Clement's father was also named Charles Clement and his mother may have been Anastesie Galarneau.
b). Both parents were born in Canada and French was the language spoken in their home.
c). His father was born 5/23/1834 (possibly the child of Etienne Clement and Françoise Cephire (dates of birth and death unknown)) and died 7/23/1910 in Pembroke, NH and his mother, whoever she was, was definitely born 11/19/1846 and died 5/20/1927. d). Charles James Clement left home at a very early age because he had trouble with the Catholic religion.
e). He had at three siblings (if the preceding is correct, he really had many more that he was not aware of). These were a brother (possibly named Ellie D. Clement) and two sisters (possibly named Lillian Clement and Unknown)."
f). He married Anna Marie Specht in Duluth in 1902 and the two of them moved to Oregon/Washington where he worked as had a Timber Cruiser and subsequently opened his own business in Portland.
g). Charles and Anna had two sons, Charles Detlow Clement and Raymond Wellington Clement. I am the first born son of Raymond and I have the complete lineage from my birth in 1938 to the present.
Ron
