You might check with some of the nearest surviving churches in the area. Another goodplace to check is with the Montana Historical Society in Helena Montana. They are on the internet.

Hello all
Does any one know anything about Louis Clement ?, born 1856 Paddington. London.
He is my maternal great-grandfather. His mother is named as Anna Clement but father not named.
I've traced him to Norwich on 1861 census, to Penge on 1871, not found on 1881, in Croydon in 1891, & Tottenham in 1901; & I have his 2 marriage certs i, 1882 & 1891
After his 2nd wife died in 1904, he changed the family's name to WRIGHT, which is what I remember my gran's name was. He did this by deed poll in 1907 - most likely in Southampton - why there ???.
The family story is, that Louis (or sometimes Lewis) was fathered by an Irish Peer of Realm - & his mother was his cook/domestic help.
Louis was then brought up by jis mother's sister - who's married name was Wright
That's why the name was changed - as Louis thought he was going to received some money left in a will - but who knows
Any info will be gladlt received.
