Not a whole lot. I have a copy of a typescript of his will, some processioning records. Both Hanover and New Kent are burned VA counties and not many colonial era records survived the Civil War.

I'm looking for the parents/origins of Jean-Pierre Clement, b. ca. 1780 in Dunkerque, France. He emigrated to Louisiana, where he married in Assumption Parish on August 27, 1810 to Adelaide de L'Aune, an Acadian refugee. He died in 1840 in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
No reliable source that I've found mentions his parents. There was a family of Acadians who were originally Vincent but adopted the surname Clement (Vincent dit Clement) -- I'm not sure if he belonged to this family, or whether he was originally a Clement.
Anything, even hints, would be appreciated! I'm happy to share what I have -- I have a lot of information on his descendants.
cheers,
Gordon Bonnet
