I recently purchased a ca 1880 “carte de visite” studio photograph of Ida M. Clement, from an antique dealer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I enjoy buying lovely old pictures like these in antique shops (with names on the back) and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures, for only my costs, with people who will treasure them.
The signature of Ida M. Clement on the back is followed by “Great Falls, N.H.”. Great Falls is in Stratford Co. The picture was taken by a professional photographer whose name is not listed, and Lydia appears to be approximately age 20, +or- a few years She has light colored hair and light eyes. She is wearing a high necked dark colored dress, with lace at the collar.
The picture is 2-¼” x 4”, mounted on a heavy cardboard frame, as was typical during that time period. The photo is an original and is in very good condition.
If Ida M. Clement is in your family or if you can relate to a Clement family Stratford Co., NH in about that time frame, please Email me directly at margerice(a)prodigy.net.

Henry is a brother to my great grandfather, Hiram S. Clement! So glad to see your query! I just acqired this information in the last month. I contacted someone working on another line of Clements, and she has shared much with me. This is exciting. I have sheets of the family genealogy. Let me hear from you. We can go from there.
