John Clement died 1749 in Hanover Co. VA. I have a typescript of his will which was filed in Granville Co. NC as part of the settlement of his son, Simon's estate in 1800.

I am looking in Wellington, TX for Mr and Mrs H C CLEMENT. Mrs CLEMENT's maiden name was CATLETT. They lived in the Wellington area in 1928. Could your Travis be related?
Hello Cheryl:
My name is Ann Palin, a descendent of Josephine Elizabeth CLEMENT. She was
my Maternal Grandmother. I was wondering if you have anything that would
help me get past the "brickwall" that I am up against.
I have been searching for several years, and know so very little about this
dear lady. She was born at Mount Pleasant, Brant Cty, on Feb. 12, 1881.
She married Alfred Marandus RIDDOLLS, on Feb. 22, 1903. The couple had
seven children, and the family lived in Brantford, Ontario.
I have no information at all of her parents, and where they hailed from. I
am trying to write a family history book on this branch of my family tree,
but have not a speck of info' re the CLEMENT family she sprang from. I have
checked the Brantford Public Library, and the Brantford History Society, but
came up empty. Josephine Elizabeth (Clement) Riddolls died Dec. 28, 1958,
aged 76. Buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford, Ontario. Most of her
life, she went by the name "JESSIE". I do not even know if she had any
siblings. My mother used to indicate that "Jessie" was from Scottish stock,
explaining to me where we got our red hair. But these bits of clues are not
helping me find her background now, and my Mother is long gone.
If you have ANY thing that could help me, or lead me in the right direction,
I would very much appreciate it!
Lots of luck in your own researches, and best regards from
Ann-E.Palin
