Surname: Clement, Pilon, Brisebois
-------------------------
It appears likely that our lines connect somewhere in Quebec. My gggrandfather,
Jean Baptiste Clement b. Jan 8, 1815 in Pointe Claire Parish outside Montreal,
came to Chicago area around 1848. Later moved with family to Jackson County
in Southern Illinois, where he and descendants are buried in Creek Paum
Cemetery. I have recently confirmed that his parents were Gabriel Clement
b Dec 29, 1780 and Susanne Pilon b. ?. From there I have several generations
to Pierre b 1665 in France. There are several Charles, but none so far
married to a Galarneau. However, I haven't worked on any of them since
they are not in my direct line. Contact me directly if you would like to
share information.

Surname: Clement, Specht, Thornton, Hoffman, Webb, Pharr
-------------------------
I am looking for ANY information on my CLEMENT line. My grandfather, Charles
James CLEMENT was born 1 Apr 1869 in Suncook, NH. His parents were Both
born in Canada and at the time of his death in 1926, his obituary said
he had two sisters living in Canada and one brother, Ellie D. CLEMENT,
residing in Nethuen (probably Methuen), MA. I have his complete lineage
onward from his marriage to Anna Marie Specht in 1902 in Duluth, Minn.
The following quite probably is correct (at least in part):
a). Charles James Clement's father was named Charles Clement and his mother
may have been Anastesie Galarneau.
b). Both parents were born in Canada and French was the language spoken
in their home.
c). His father was born 5/23/1834 (the child of Etienne Clement and Françoise
Cephire (dates of birth and death unknown)) and died 7/23/1910 in Pembroke,
NH. His father was burried in Allenstown, NH at St. John the Baptist Cemetary
on 7/25/1910. His mother, whoever she was, was
definitely born 11/19/1846 and died 5/20/1927.
d). Charles James Clement left home at a very early age because he had
trouble with the Catholic religion.
e). He had at three siblings (if the preceding is correct, he really had
many more that he was not aware of). These were a brother (possibly named
Ellie D. Clement) and two sisters (one of whom was named Lillian Clement
and the other's name is unknown).
