I am directly descended from Martha TUCKER and (Captain) Benjamin BELL,
(mother: Hannah STOKES, father: John BELL, Jr., born: 1696, (mother:
father: John BELL, Sr., born: abt. 1668 in Surry Co., VA, died: 17 June
1713, (father: Richard BELL, born: abt. 1645, mother: ??,) and mother:
Ann BENNETT, born: 1673 in Isle of Wight Co., VA, (father: Richard BENNETT,
Jr., ) and looking to establish more information in how this BENNETT family
probably connects with another of my direct lines of descent from ancestral
grandfather, John BENNETT and daughter, Phillis BENNETT, born: 1666 in
Westmoreland Co., VA, who married Samuel EARLE, II, born: 1670 in Cople
Parish, VA, (mother: Bridget HALE/HAYLES, father: Samuel EARLE, I, (who
married Mattilda ALLERTON after Bridget died in abt. 1694,) and when Samuel
EARLE, I, died: in abt/ 1697, Mattilda ALLERTON married William RUST, and
after his death Mattilda ALLERTON (EARLE) (RUST) married her 3rd husband,
John BENNETT who was probably the father of the Phillis BENNETT who married
Samuel EARLE, II, born: 1670 in Cople Parish, VA. (I would be most
interested in the name of the wife of John BENNETT and the mother of Phillis
BENNETT if anyone knows.)
Samuel EARLE, I's parents: (mother: Mary SYMONS, born: 1617,
Gloucestershire, Britsol, England, whose brother appears to be Francis SYMONS
but no information on their parents at this time,) father: (Sir) John EARLE,
born: 1612, died: 1660, (who was the 18th generation after the original
HERLEI,) (father: (Sir) Richard EARLE, (father: (Sir) Robert EARLE.))
The above mentioned John EARLES who lived at "Spring Neck" at Earle's Creek,
Yeocomico Plantation, Northumberland Co., VA, married a 2nd wife named Mrs.
Elizabeth HOWELL but when John EARLES died a short time later in 1660 at the
age of 49 years, Mrs. Elizabeth HOWELL (EARLES) married her 4th husband,
William CLEMENT and she continued to reside at "Spring Neck" with her new
husband.
The above mentioned Martha TUCKER who married (Captain) Benjamin BELL was a
daughter of Joseph Tudor TUCKER and Lucretia WYNNE, (mother: Martha
JEFFERSON, father: (Colonel) Robert WYNNE, (mother: Agnes STITH, father:
Thomas WYNNE,) and it was their daughter, Martha Jefferson BELL, who married
Samuel WALKER, from whom my descent continues.
Looking to find any possible connections between my various BENNETT lines and
others that connect to them.
In advance, I thank you.
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick - Barnett

At an antique shop, I recently purchased a photograph of a young lady,
whose picture was taken by a professional photographer in 1895, in Mt.
Vernon (Knox Co.) OH. I enjoy buying lovely old pictures like these in
antique shops and locating descendants/family members and re-uniting the
pictures with people who will treasure them, for only my costs.
The picture is in good condition. Size is 4x6" and the writing on the picture
is "Anna L. Clement, wife of Henry L. Clement - 1895". Picture of the woman,
who is about 20 yrs. of age, shows her with dark hair, and a dark dress
with a high collar. The picture was taken by Fred S. Crowell studio, Mt.
Vernon, OH.
