Clement Family Bible
This leather-bound Bible measures 12 by 10 by 2 inches. Its cover has an
embossed image of a young shepherdess with lambs in an elaborate oval frame,
bit since it is all in black and a bit worn, I was unable to show it clearly
in a photo. The illustrations are not very numerous, but are quite nice.
One marriage, several births, and a couple of deaths are recorded, with
dates ranging from 1836 to 1913. The family names noted are Clement and
Liddle. For example, John Clement married Margaret Liddle in 1869. The only
place noted is Andes, Delaware County, New York.
The cover is a bit worn. There is some browning and foxing of the pages,
and a couple of folded corners, as well as what appears to be a water stain
on the corner of the frontispiece. However, the cover and binding are
totally intact and there are no loose pages.
