Greeting all,
I'm new to this list and wish to post my research interests.
John CLEMENT, thought to be the son of Benjamin CLEMENT(S) and Susanna HILL,
married Mary Hannah SMITH ca 1761. One of their daughters, Aley J. CLEMENT, married
Benjamin Norris HENDON on 2 Nov 1807 in Clarke County, Georgia. And, a son William
Washington CLEMENT married Martha STEDMAN in Clarke County on 23 Jan 1805. Another
son John CLEMENT, Jr married *Patience HENDON on 11 Jun 1806, also in Clarke County.
*Some records incorrectly have her listed as "Patricia" Hendon.
Patience HENDON was the widow of Isham HENDON who died ca 1802. Patience and Isham
had a son Aaron HENDON, who married Martha STEDMAN's sister, Elizabeth, in Clarke County on
10 Jul 1816.
Would like to share info on these families. I understand the William R. CLEMENT(S) bible has
pertinent info on this family. John CLEMENT(S)' Will (below) mentions his wife and children,
as well as "Norris" HENDON (executor):
