Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
For those of you who have emailed me during the last 62 days I
apologize. The first 23 days I was traveling. Upon my return I found
that my hard disk had crashed and
the next 36 days have been spent with getting my material retrieved.
Spending lots of money with other companies, it was my daughter-in-law,
"the miracle worker" who managed to retrieve everything. I had 702
messages so it will ber awhile before you
all get answers. Please be patient with me - I also have a bank storage
box of snail mail to process.
Thanks
Jimmie Ruth Eash
I do not have any information on Anne DENHAM but I would really appreciate
it if you will share anything you find out about her. Thanks!

Liz Mims -
Isham Clements (c1735-1802) was son of William Clement Jr (c1700-1766),
who was son of William Clement Sr (d 1760 Amelia Co, VA)
We do not know for sure the parents of William Clement Sr, although
there have been several speculations with no proof provided.
Isham Clements married 27 Nov 1760 in Amelia Co, VA, Sarah Scott, dau of
Joseph Scott & wife Sarah Mayo.
Isham and Sarah, who both died in Amelia Co, VA, had the following
children: Elizabeth m Richard Phillips; Sarah m John Phillips; Mary m
Edmund Booker Jr; Nancy, m Thomas Branch; Judith m Banister Bryan;
Fanny m George Owen; Joseph who m 1796 Amelia Co, VA, Susannah Woodson;
William who m 1799 Polly Clark Craddock; Lucy m James Hillsman; Martha
M. m Thomas Woodson, and Isham Jr who m 1804 Sally Rudd. I did not
further research Isham Clements Jr.
Joseph and Susannah, who both died in Prince Edward Co, VA, had the
following children: Mary J.; Elizabeth S.; Susan J. m Thomas J.
Williamson; and Mayo (1801-1880) who m 1827 Charlotte Co, VA, Jane
Mullins. They also had a son (name unknown) who d bef 1880, who had a
son William E. Clements whose wife was Julia R. I did not further
research the William E. Clements.
I have researched the descendants of Mayo Clements (1801-1880) (my
line). I do not find the name Young I. Clements in my computer data
base, and do not find any connection with King William Co, VA for this
line of Clements. You may want to investigate Isham Clements Jr, and
William E. Clements whom I did not research. Sorry I can't help you
further.

I am new to this line and to this group -- and am hoping someone can help me.
I am interested in Benjamin Turner Clement, b. abt 1838, son of George
Washington Clement and Sally Turner. I am told Benjamin had a long
relationship with Ellen/Eleanor Rigney (1844-1905) and fathered most if not
all of her 13 children, but they never married. The first nine children went
by Rigney and the last four by Jackson, apparently because Ellen married Levi
Monroe Jackson in 1894 and the four youngest children lived with him. Can
anybody help me with this? I can provide a list of the children. Many
thanks!!

Much of this information was found in "Notes on the CLEMENT FAMILY HISTORY"
by Warren P. Clement, son of Sterling Price Clement and brother of J.C.
Clement, Sr., written in 1973. He references the following books by Maud
Carter Clement: 1) History of Pittsylvania County, Virginia and 2)
Frontiers Along the Upper Roanoke River 1740-1746. He also references
Southern Lineages by Mrs. A. Evans Wynn.
If anyone can help me with the dates and places I'm missing or point me to
some references on the web, I'd appreciate it. I look forward to
exchanging information with others on this list.
