Louisa Mary Ann Cleghorn, daughter of William C. Cleghorn and Rebecca, was b. 1838 in Ind. She m. Charles E. Morgan, son of Charles Morgan, Apr.1, 1860 in Putnam Co. Mo. by Luke J. Booth, a Baptist Minister. Charles E. farmed at Elm. Putnam Co. Mos. until 1880 when they moved to McDonald Co.Mo. They lived 1885-1895 in northwest Ark. and in 1904 moved to Newtonia, Newton Co. Mo. Wecharty was located at the site of old Fort Holmes, southeast of Holdenville.
On Jan. 30, 1911, Mary Ann, age 73, a resident of Wecharty signed her Declaration for Widow's Pension. John and Sarah E. Morrissey, both residents of Wehcarty, Okla. signed as witnesses that they had known Mary Ann Morgan 37 years and 14 yrs. Sarah E Morgan was age 37 on that date, so likely was daughter of Mary Ann, and John was her husband.
J.M. Whitt, a resident of Newtonia, Mo. had signed Charles E. Morgan's Declaration for Pension June 13, 1907 saying he had known Charles E. Morgan also of Newtonia, Mo. 40 years. Probably J.M.
