Michael,
Saw your post. Will check with my dad and see what he thinks, but your Robert may be the grandfather of my Robert Cleghorn. I'll post again soon and let you know if we think there's a connection, or you can email me at JLCGray(a)aol.com. Thanks!

Hi,
I have a mourning brooch for Robert Cleghorn who died 01-12-1785. It was in the possession of an aged Aunt since died.
I have no idea where or when the connection could come about but the Aunt lived in Teddington for years and her husband Cecil Wheeler had a Royal Warrant at Hampton Court. Any interest???
