I am looking for information on John William Clegg born in 1895. He married Doris Cheatham of Blackpool. John's parents were Joseph & Alice Bradbury Clegg. Does anyone know of this Clegg family?

Would like to make contact with any one who thinks Jack may be related to them. I believe he was in the British Army in the first world war and then returned to Co. Monaghan. Likely to have been born 1850 -1880.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Steve Clegg. I have a Robert Clegg, born 1844 in England, who moved to Ontario in the 1850s or 1860s. Robert married Selena "Lena" Lawson. Robert and Lena moved back and forth across the Canada/USA border. Lena died in Ontario in 1891 and Robert moved to New York with their one surviving child, Clarence, born in 1881. Clarence married Gertrude and had two children: Robert and Florence.

Sorry
My florence Clegg was born Florence Ridge, Clegg was her married name. To my Granddad Horace Clegg. It was either one of his brothers that came to Canada or one of his father's brothers. They used to tell me that my namesake (Steve Clegg) lived in Canada. I have a vague memory of them saying he was a policeman. Don't you have an inspector Steve Clegg in your area. Maybe he is my relative?
Good luck with your search
Steve
