Bettte,
Thank you for your reply. I do not have the CLEGG book. Where can I pick one up? I don't have my CLEGG info in front of me, but let me see what info I have on Thomas. It looks like you may have more on his early life than I do. I will get back to you with info.
Teresia

Hi, I am through Richard Clegg & was wondering, if you had any knowledge about Thomas? I only have about b1740 in Rochdale Lancaster, England d1829 in Moundsville Marshell Co. West Virginia. I have that Thomas came to the USA with his two brothers Matthew & Alexander. In the 1790 census, Elizabeth twp, Lancaster Co. Penn. Alexander is listed.Has wife & children but I won't list because, I don't know if you know about this Alex. Happy Hunting. I should mention, that there is no Alex that I have found on the Richard side. Do you have "The Clegg's" book? Bette

I am looking for info on an Alexander CLEGG b: abt. 1796, possibly in Pennsylvania. I am trying to prove or disprove a relationship between he and a Thomas CLEGG b: abt. 1750 in County Down, Ireland. Thomas CLEGG was married to a Mary. Their children include:
Alexander b: abt. 1769
James b: abt. 1771
Samuel b: abt. 1774
Richard b: abt. 1776
Thomas b: abt. 1782
all born in Ireland, I believe.
I think Alexander b: 1796 may be the s/o James above. Making Alexander the grandson of Thomas. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Teresia
