I should have mentioned that the only time I have seen Wilman Clegg mentioned in England was in the UK BMD Register index for a marriage, September 1859 - Dewsbury, West Riding of Yorkshire

I’m trying to find where my branch of the Clegg family originated in England. I would love to hear from anyone who has heard of Wilman Clegg, (an unusual given name).
Husband: Wilman Clegg born April 16, 1836
Wife: Elizabeth Secker born May 26, 1827/28
The family left England in 1867: incl. unknown son who died on board ship and three daughters: Hannah, Mary, and Emma. They arrived in Port Credit, Ontario, Canada and settled in Streetsville (Mississauga), Ontario, Canada. Wilman was a weaver.
The children who survived are:
Hannah – born: July 19, 1860 in England
Mary – born: Mar 14, 1862 in England
Emma – born Feb 7, 1867 in England
Martha – born Jul 3, 1869 in Ontario, Canada

I am seeking contact with anyone else researching the family of Robert (b.c1784 in Spotland) & Betty (b.c1794 in Spotland) Clegg. Their daughter Esther was born c1832 and son Joseph c1837/38. They may also have had a daughter Betty and son Abraham.
Esther married (1) Isaac Chadwick and (2) Wiliam Simpson.
