My guess is that your William Campbell Clegg is a descendant of Campbell B.
Clegg of Edgefield, SC, son of the Samuel Campbell Clegg who was hung as a
Tory during the American Revolution. Randy, I will check this out and get
back to you.
Best regards,
Pat Landwehr
Randy,
I wonder if your William Campbell Clegg could be a relative( cousin??)
of my William Clegg b. 1848, d. 1861 at Manassas, VA,parents Anthony
Clegg and Mary Long? Anthony and Mary lived in Columbus, Ga and ran a
textile factory there. Anthony was originally from England.

Hi Clegg Families,
I am looking for my grgrgreat grandfather (I might have an extra great in there!) James CLEGG. He is a Pennsylvania Clegg coming from England. He was in Cherry Tree Twp., Venango Co., PA in the 1860 US Census. Can anyone help me find what happened to him? I think he died between 1860 and 1870 but don't know where.
Thanks for any help anyone can give me.
Sandy

MargaretClegg born West Derby, Liverpool England 1876
Parents: John Clegg & Ruth McKenzie.
Edward and Charles came to Winnipeg in 1909. Edward went back to Liverpool in 1921 and Charles stayed in Winnipeg Canada.
I have not been able to find any trace of Charles. Clues anyone.?
Margaret had a daughter out of wedlock, Lillian, born 1896 at Liverpool, shown in the 1901 census as Lillian McKenzie.
Did Margaret and/or Lillian also come to Winnipeg Canada ? ?
Any clues, suggestions or leads recieved with thanks
Dave
