Hi
My CLEGG family lived in Venango, Fayette and Crawford Counties. I lost
track of him between the 1860 and 1870 Census. How did you get the picture
and have you got any idea of the mans name. You might think about making
some copies of the picture because there may be several interested in it. I
would be interested in seeing the picture but can't say I could identify him
even if he were my CLEGG. I will leave it up to you to decide.
Thanks,
Sandy

I have a photo of an eldery gentleman. The back of the photo says "Clegg
1861". My family was living in Philadelphia, Westmoreland or Fayette
Counties at that time. I would be glad to send it to anyone via snail mail
in turn for any feedback on his identity. (None of my attachments get
through).

FreeBMD has image records which show that in 1900, an Annie Clegg was born in Garstang, Lancashire. I beleive that it is very likely that she is my great grandmother, Vera (could be Vera Anne/Anne Vera/Annie Vera/Vera Annie) Clegg, who is believed to have been born in the same region in the same year.
Does anyone have any info on her or can confirm that she married a James/Jim Maynard?
