Pat, I am editing my Greer research now from John and Sarah Day Greer, thru
their son Aquilla Greer and Elizabeth Lowe. I intend to publish it as soon
as I can finish the editing. I do not have much on the later descendants of
the Clegg family. Some Mornon friends who are Greer' are helping me with the
publishing if I ever finish editing. There must be Cleggs in the last three
generations. Can you supply anything on them. I will use your work with your
name as the researcher, if you should wish to add anything. In the book,
there will be chapters on the Haynes, Bandy, Lowe, Taylor, Day and maybe a
few more.
By the way I come thru Caleb Greer who family lore has him marrying sisters,
Martha J and Amanda around 1850 era. I find children for both the wives in
census records but cannot identify the parents of Martha J and Amanda. Their
death records show they were born in Ala, but Caleb married Amanda (Second)
in Morgan County, Ga and Martha J (first)in Greene County, Ga.
Would you have anything on this Edmondson family? Each data that is
contributed, I use the name and city and state or E-Mail address of the
contributor. I have much on Richard Bandy who had a daughter, Elizabeth
Bandy, who married my Aquilla Greer, born about 1744. I have some data on
the Bankston and Sappington families.
My regrets is that I have not identified my great grandmother, Amanda
Edmondson, who married Caleb Greer in Morgan County, Ga. I have all their
children and many generations in that family.
I am 74 years of age and have researched Greer and allied families for over
35 years.
Would love to share with you but am slow, because of my eyesight. Am I spend
4 hours a day on editing my Greer family.
Thanks Bea Greer O'Quin/New Orleans, La
I would appreciate anything that you might add for the book.

I have information about this Clegg line. What do you want? Please give me
more information about your Greer line.
