A Mary Clegg is on 1850 Vigo County Indiana census as living with a Robert Whirry family. Wondering if the Mary's are the same person. Any help appreciated

This is a long shot. I am trying to trace my father's
family who were from Rochdale. This is what I know :
My grandmother was Susannah Clegg born April 23, 1881. Her parents were Sarah Ann Clegg (Schofield) and her father John Clegg. They lived at 8 Lower Binns Hook, Rochdale.
According to the 1881 census they lived in the same location with a daughter Martha Jane Clegg, then aged 2. This census must have occurred just before the birth of my grandmother.
My grandmother emigrated to the United States in February 1899 on the ship Teutonic from Liverpool. According to the ship's manifest these were the Cleggs on board :
Martha Jane (19)
Susannah (17)
Alice (11)
Emily (9)
Sarah (7)
Helen (4)
They were sponsored by their grandfather John Schofield , Firthcliffe, New York.
I don't know why they emigrated, especially without their parents.
Family folklore claims that my great grandfather was murdered because he was active in the union movement. He is listed as a warehouseman in a cotton mill. I don't have any idea what happened to my great grandmother. My grandmother married a John Lee, who supposedly came from the same area of Lancaster County.
He died in 1932 and was buried in a Lutheran cemetary on Long Island, New York.

Longtime Santa Rosa doctor Harding Clegg dies at 90
June 8, 2002
Dr. Harding Clegg, one of the last of Santa Rosa's old general practitioners -- a doctor who made house calls and didn't insist on appointments six weeks in advance -- died Tuesday at the age of 90.
"I came from the days of the two-dollar office visit and the five-dollar house call," he told Press Democrat columnist Gaye LeBaron in 1998.
At the time he started closing down his practice four years ago, he had patients he'd been seeing for a half-century, including multiple generations of the same families.
"He could always see you. Even though he was busy he would ... say, 'You come over and I'll see you in 10 minutes,'" said Tom Hart, a patient for 53 years, whose children were all delivered by Clegg.
Harding Clegg was a member of the storied "Class of '41," one of the first groups to graduate from the University of California Medical School's resident program at the county hospital, now Sutter Medical Center. Four of the six graduates set up practice in Sonoma County and remained close.
A native of Redbank, N.J., Clegg attended Stanford. It was during college that he met his late wife, Lindsay Towne Clegg. The couple had seven children.
Early in his career, he was the county's autopsy physician. He took over an existing pediatrics practice, and found himself running the well-baby clinics. He also treated children at the Santa Rosa clinic at the Scottish Rite Temple on B Street for years without charge.
"He was quiet and unassuming. He wasn't someone who had a lot of conversation. He just passed his judgment," said Virginia Norman, whose husband Frank Norman was also a physician.
Clegg didn't pretend to have all the answers and never hesitated to pass a patient on to another doctor if he felt they needed different care, she added.
Outside the examination room, he loved fishing trips, enjoyed a second home at Lake Tahoe and for many years played bassoon in the Santa Rosa Symphony.
The doctor met Santa Rosa Symphony founder George Trombley in the operating room when the conductor was in for an appendectomy. Trombley recruited Clegg to play bassoon, which he did for nearly 50 years, until about five years ago.
"He was a gentleman," said his daughter Kay Clegg of Santa Rosa. "Quiet, with a good sense of humor."
At his request, no services will be held. Private interment will be at Tulocay Cemetery in Napa.
In addition to his daughter Kay, his survivors include his other children, Lindsay C. Pierce of Eugene, Ore., David H. Clegg of Vancouver, Wash., Dr. Sharon Clegg of Poulsbo, Wash., Willam A. Clegg of Sonoma and Ann C. Tuohy of Sebastopol; his sister, Belle Hays of Comptche; his brother, Ray Westman of Santa Cruz; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. His son Christopher Clegg preceded him in death.
