Hello David,
Sorry to say that I do not know if Joseph had any sisters at this point in time I do have that he had at least one brother named Arthur. Unfortunetely this is all I have at the time. When Joseph married he and his wife Nellie had 6 children, (my grandmother - Lily) who was born 6/26/1894 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada after which I heard they went back to England. a son Arthur, daughter - Edith born Nov 5 Died January 1986, a son Jack, a son Joseph who married a girl named Ruby, and a daughter named Nellie. So sorry I don't have anything else at this time. Would love to hear if any of this sounds familiar to you.
Cindy

Cindy - my Clegg ancestors, Isaac & Sarah (Lucas) Clegg, left England (possibly/probably Manchester area) for the US in the 1840s, and I have virtually nothing on any Clegg relatives who may have remained in England. If you manage to get your Clegg line back into the early/mid-19th century, please keep an eye out for Isaac & Sarah, or Isaac's parents, Robert & Alice Clegg. I'd be delighted to discover a link. Good hunting!

I've been trying to find a connection to my Grandmother's Clegg family. When my Grandmother Lily Clegg married she was living Nelson Glen, Bradford. Married in the District of Prestwich, in the counties of Lancaster & Manchester.
December 27, 1918. They were married in the Register Office. On their marriage license it shows her father was Joseph Clegg (Electrician). Witnesses were John Clegg and Ellen Clegg. I would love to hear from anyone who may have a connection to this family.

I did not follow up on any of the 5 brothers or sister Mary

Garry,
My William Clegg who married Margaret Cain was married about 1855 as they had their first child in 1856. This William never left England. Sorry, no match! Happy New Year!
