I am looking for descendants of my grandmother's sister, "Aunt Ida" (Witmer) Clegg, wife of William Clegg. One of her
sons, Clayton, was in Pittsburg, PA at the time of her death in 1975 and the other, Kermit, was in Miami, FL. A
daughter, Mrs. Holliday, was in Bordentown, NJ. Another son, LeRoy, apparently died in 1958. Aunt Ida's obit notes
that she had six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Looking for information on the ancestry of James Clagg. He was born 1774 in
VA & diedf 1850 in VA. He was married to Judith Watson (daughter of Johnson &
Nancy Ann Watson) on Dec. 1, 1800 in Bedford Co., VA. His father MAY have
been Alexander Clagg. There were 9 children (John, Johnson, James B.,
William, Joseph, Catherine, Sarah, Nancy Ann, & Alan).
Any help on James' ancestry/siblings would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Melinda
