wow!!!! I was never interested in him in general. My father doesn't even acknowledge his existance. When ever he did it was because I asked him about it, and his response was never a good one. I wanted to know his origin/ heritage. It is so frustrating that during that time everything was such hush hush. Im going to be visiting my great aunt and I will try to get any info I can out of her. It may be a distorted memory because she herself was very young at that time. My mother said that when they were approached in the hospital the year was 1973. My grandmother was just 17 when she gave birth and died. He was older than her, by how much im not sure just yet.

She did work in an eyeglass office. I dont remember the name but Talb does sound familiar. I will have to call my father and ask. Our Grandfather did just leave them also just like he left your father and uncle. He was a real piece of garbage it seems.

More info:
Did your grandmother work for Dr. Talb on Forest Avenue in Staen lsand ( eye glass office)??? My mother saw her picture you posted and she looked like the woman who worked at that office, she was said to be Willard Cleavers ex-wife. The story was that he left her just like he left my fathers mother Bessie Surko.

So Sorry I stand corrected. My mother just informed me that I got the information wrong. It was the Moose Lodge in New Jersey and it wasn't an ex-wife of Willard that approached my aunt Florence MOngavin but a woman which would be your fathers sister. She also informed me that that story I told you about my parents being approached in St. Vincents hospital took place in the year 1973.
