Message Board Post:
I recently come across an address for a great uncle of mine who is thought to have emigrated to Australia in the 1920s. He is probably George Percy Cleaver, born in London UK in 1873, my grandfather's brother and one of 9 children of George J. Cleaver, a (violin)cellist.
The address is:
Mr G Cleaver
36 Beach Road
Edgecliffe
Sydney
Australia
Does anyone know whether this address still exists, or have any Cleaver relatives who may have lived there in the 1920s?
I gather George jumped ship fromm a liner in the 1920s (he was a musici8an on board) and had a daughter Aida in Syndey.
Does this ring any (antipodean) bells?
Regards

Hi Wendy
Just seen you post about Llewellyn Cleaver, he is in my family tree and comes from Tetbury. I have just started researching this line, so am interested in exchanging information, my ggg grandfather was James Cleaver b1800c, Llewellyn brother, if I have the right connection.
Regards
Ann
