Thanks Bill. I really appreciate your prompt response. There are so many Williams and Benjamins it is nice to have a slot to put my Benjamin and William in. Is this the same Cleaver line that is in the book "A Fair and Happy Land"? My copy of this book just arrived today and I have only had time to browse quickly but didn't see anything for sure that pinpoints for me whether my Ben and Will are the same. If they are then my William is one of the children of Benjamin not listed in the book, which of course doesn't mean anything. Where does your info come from? I have lots of info on the Pennebakers and Rubys I have found from other researchers and cousins, and later generations of the Cleavers from family members if you need it. How are you connected? Are we cousins? E-mail me if you wish.

I am interested in your Benjamin Cleaver. I am seeking a Benjamin, married to an Elizabeth ?, who had a son William, b. 1792. William was born in Kentucky. He married Mary Pennebaker. This William and Mary were my gg maternal grandparents. Except for this little bit of information I am at a dead end tracing the Cleaver line back any further. Does your Benjamin connect? I would so much appreciate your response.
Bill
There's a website which might be of interest to you and may help in your
quest.
http://www.cleaverproperty.co.uk/tree/
The Cleavers listed there are from Monks Kirby, Hillmorton and Pailton, and
may link to your line.

Ellen Spence

Hi,
I'm new to the CLEAVER mailing list and I'm wondering if anybody has any
information regarding the Cleavers in the Rugby area.
My father-in-law was descended from a James and Katherine Cleaver from
Grandborough near Rugby. They had 8 children one of which was a Millie
(Millicent?). Millie went on to marry a Mr Warren and they lived in
Bletchley, Bucks. They had 5 children one of whom was my father-in-law.
Any further information would be appreciated.

my g-grandfather was William Cleaver. born in England and moved to Canada between 1910 to 1911. His oldest son, Harold moved to Canada in the year 1910 and resided in Aylmer, Ontario.
William married twice. His second wife Bessy Draper who born my grandfather, Percy and two daughters, Alice and Elsie before moving to Canada. I am seeking William's full name, birth and burial site, parents and sibling's names. it is my belief they lived in Liecstershire England.
