I have researched my line of the Clevelands and i have
never seen any reference between Cleveland and
Kleivaland..
According to the brothers who compiled the three volume
study of the family, the name originated in Yorkshire,
England about the time the Romans were in the vicinty in
B.C. 55. There could have been a migration between that
section of England and Norway and it would be interesting
to know if anyone has a clue to the possibilty.
