Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I found this in my travels. Probably related to my line, but I don't know.

Cyrus Noel MEREDITH, a resident of this county and widely known for the
past 50y, died at a County seat sanitarium Monday night, after 5 years
of sickness. He was a native of CA., aged 67y, born in Eldorado County.
By industry and thrift he became one of the foremost ranchers of Sonoma
Co. and did not retire from active work until 5y ago. Up to a year ago
he lived on his ranch near Forestville. Prior to taking up ranching he
was a timber contractor. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret MEREDITH,
and 7 grown children; Mrs. Walter CLEVELAND, Healdsburg; Oscar and Bert
MEREDITH, Modesto; Mrs. Wm. JANSEN, Oakland; Mrs. L.M. MEREDITH, Santa
Rosa; Mrs. Walter WRIGHT and Miss Hazel MEREDITH, San Francisco.
