Hi Janet,
After corresponding with the Cleary person in England, it is my belief (and hers) that she is not related to this Cleary family from Geashill. Her line and my line back to 1810 are from Tullamore. She goes back 1 generation further than myself. She no longer has an e-mail address as her account was hacked about 8 months. All communication is now by snail mail. If you still have questions please let me know.

Hi Regina, yes 1835 they got married. As far as I know they had 4 children, Catherine, Matthew and Richard. When Nicholas died at a young age Judith married his brother Patrick it seems and they had a son John (born 1852). John emigrated to the US around 1875 and settled in Ohio I think. His half Matthew (born 1846)and sister Catherine (born 1838)settled in Pittsburg PA. There doesnt seem to be any record of a Bridgid in our family tree but I will check it out.
Rose

I have Clearys' in north Tipperary. Mary Cleary (B.1859) sent her 19 year old son Dennis Hewitt to "Uncle John Cleary" in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1903 . The uncle lived on Allen St.

Early 1900's Clearys' emigrated to Pittsburgh PA. Names were Richard, John, Josephine, Catherine, Margaret and possibly one or two more. They emigrated from Ireland, a place called Duncormick, Co Wexford. Anyone can give me more information please?
