There was a Cleary family in Wellington,Arthur Twp.,Ontario Canada.Son Joseph married Margaret?
Moved to Mt.Clemens Michigan where he was a barber.
His son was born there & moved to AZ.
Joseph retired & moved to AZ where he & wife died.

Hi Donna, I Have no connection to a Michael at this time. We also do not know from where in Ireland the family came from. We think they may have come to NY City then into Canada over to Ontario were what we believe to be the only son was born and baptised. They than moved in Buffalo Ny area.
BAPTISM: EDWARD and TERESA CLEARY:
"July 13, 1855: Baptized Edward and Teresa (twins), born 12th of this month, of the lawful marriage of Ja. Cleary and Eliza Donovan. Sponsors for Edward: John Donovan and Anne O'Maly. Sponsors for Teresa: Denis Corcoran and Mary Cahil. By me, Edward Gordon, Vicar General."
Edward is my husbands Great Grandfather. He may have had other sisters Abby, Hattie and Dorthea. Teresa did not survive past infancy from family accounts.

Thank you for your update at this time I don't see a connection. I just had a search completed in Canada it showed that -
"July 13, 1855: Baptized Edward and Teresa (twins), born 12th of this month, of the lawful marriage of Ja. Cleary and Eliza Donovan. Sponsors for Edward: John Donovan and Anne O'Maly. Sponsors for Teresa: Denis Corcoran and Mary Cahil. By me, Edward Gordon, Vicar General."

Based on the info in your message I believe your Michael Cleary and Lillian Bunz to be my husband's grandparents. They lived in Oswego New York. I believe Michael's father, Patrick was born in Ireleand. I am working on determing for sure what county. Eileen Cleary (one of their daughters) told my husband that it was Limerick but others in the family say Cork. Do you have any information? If we have a connection perhaps we can discuss further.
Thanks,
Donna Cleary

Lynne Cleary was born in Manhatten, New York, 6 Sept. 1942. She was visited regularly for several months by the bio mom-presume she was in some sort of foster care. Adoption did not occur until abt 6 mo. The adoption was handled by Spence-Chapin (not sure of spelling).
Bio mom was born 1918, maternal grandfather was born 1883-NE states??? New York or??. Bio Mom's mother died in 1923. Bio mom had two older sisters.
Bio mom was a nanny/baby nurse for a wealthy couple. She was with them when she became pregnant while visiting Puerto Rico abt Pearl Harbor Day, 1941. The father of this child was in the Army and possibly never knew that a baby was born as the bio mom returned to the NE.
Bio mom's father worked in a shipyard as a "night watchman". Not sure as to what northeastern states we are looking at but suspect NY, NJ.....since baby was born in Manhatten and bio mom visited weekly until the later adoption, trying to figure out how to raise the child on her own.
It has been over 68 years and "baby Lynne" would like to learn more about her biological family. The surname, Cleary, was found on papers dealing with the adoption. Bio mom named her Lynne- when she was adopted she became Linda.
