I found your post today in my mail sent by Ancestry. I too have Cleary relatives. My g. grandmother was Mary Cleary born in 1859 as far as I know. Her father was "Ned" Cleary, a farmer from Nenagh,Tipperary. Mary Cleary married Patrick Hewitt on May 10, 1874 at the R.C. chapel at Temlederry,in the district of Toomevera,Nenagh. Her father-in-law's name was registered as Patrick "Huit".Her witnesses were Denis Cleary and Anne Cleary. This info was found on her marriage license. She would settle in Silvermines and raise ten children, the townland of Foilnamuck is noted. She had six sons and four daughters. Amoung the names of her children was Dennis 1882,Edward 1879 and Mary 1880. I was told by people in Ireland that Cleary was not that common a name for the Tipperary area so I wonder if the two families are related. Appreciate any inf you might be able to provide. Thanks.
Jeannie
