Thanks for your reply, Regina, but my Clearys were Roman Catholic. I have tried to find church records, but no luck. I still have McGinn relatives in Northern Ireland, but they are maybe second cousins, and only vaguely familiar with the Cleary-McGinn connection. I just keep trying. I don't even kmow if Cormonalea still exists as a town . My grandmother mentioned Lisnaskea and I can see that on a map, but have had no luck finding anything. Even an ad in the Belfast Telegraph gave me info on some McGinns, and one Cleary who knew no more than I about Margaret Mary Cleary.

I took note of this post because I have Clearys in my family, however, mine are from Carlow whereas yours seem to be from Fermanagh. Since this is the north, I would think perhaps they are COI. Have you tried the National Archives in Dublin since many of these records for COI began around 1845? You might have some luck. There is also a site for Co. Fermanagh. www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/fermanagh provides more particulars on records. (Of course, you might have already tried all of these and I certainly do not mean to underestimate your efforts.) Good luck! Regina

Margaret Mary Cleary was my maternal greatgrandmother. I can find no info of her parents. I know she married Patrick McGinn in the mid 1800s--my grandmother, Annie McGinn, was the youngest of four girls, and was born in 1869. There were also 2 boys, Patrick and James. All of the girls came to US as did James. They were all born in a town called Cormonalea, which was near Enniskillen. Does anyone know anything of this family?

Richard & Robert are pictured in the yearbook of the 422nd Technical School Squadron at Amarillo Army Air Field in Amarillo, Texas. The 422nd produced mechanics and technicians to maintain the Flying Fortresses. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching family.
