Hi. After I married my ex-husband in 1963 his mother, Mary Cleary Rafferty Kelley used to say her family had a cab company in Boston in the past. Being young I didn't ask any questions but now I'm trying to construct a geneology. Do you know anything about a Cleary Cab Co.?

I am from this line of Clearys..not exactly sure which one is the father of my great-grandfather (Daniel James Cleary)...two of Daniel's brothers emigrated to the U.S. from Otonabee/Ennismore via Hamilton (where many of the Clearys went). I would be very interested to compare notes with you, as this line of my family tree is a total mystery to me.

This is a marker and not a gravesite, i had to do this to keep space beside my baby son, James T. Clark. My ex/husband
and Father of my Children(James Junior Clark)and his wife
Joan Ruby Gray Clark was trying to keep my space from me.
Geneaology reasons this lets everyone know my maiden name is Dick and my children, James T. Clark, Sherri J.,Ronny D.,
Vicki J. Clark are all children from my first marriage to the above James Junior Clark, and Cleary is my married name.
So, myself and my children are all living on this date.
Sorry, hope this explains , Viola Dick Clark Cleary

G'day Karen,
As you can see I'm still around but I must confess that I'd given up all hope of getting any reply to my message let alone from a Kiwi. Well that's not quite true either for one of my theories concering Joseph Patrick's journey to Australia was that he may well have come via NZ because I made notes about an trainee priest CLEARY 1885 arrival in NZ at a place called Vernon's Run after voyaging on board a ship called the "Ionic". The other possibility was direct to OZ on board the "Ophir" in 1891.
Generally my investigations have been frustratingly inconclusive but I do have some "maybes" that you might care to consider. Please contact me on my personal e-mail of kingroscoe(a)msn.com.au & perhaps we can both find some answers.
Great to hear from you Cuz,
Here's hoping,
Ross.
