I believe that what you wrote is true. Bridget is John's sister.
I posted some pictures on my family tree of John Murray, did you get a chance to look them up? It is under Buzzard family tree. The only other way I can send you pictures is to your email address. I tried attaching them here on this site and they wouldn't go through.
John and Thomas were only 6 years apart in age, they look more like brothers than Uncle and nephew.

I suppose anything may be possible, but according to the news article which the author noted The Clearys were very forthcoming on dates etc. They only noted 6 sons and two girls Mary & Julia whom died at 6 ? Though Julia did travel with a brother in law and her husbands sister ...Mabe there is a connection to Ellen or Kate their ? The only info I presently have is what I got ?

Thank you for your reply. Do you know anything about where the Cleary's lived around Moyglas? In an old journal circa 1837 John Murray writes that his parents have gone to "Clearyland", I assumed it was for a lengthy visit, because another entry later indicated that they had returned.
There were other children for Thomas and Julia other than the ones listed on your web site, right? I have an Ellen born 1855, plus John and James. Somewhere I saw something that I noted on my family group sheet that indicated that they had, had 11 children and only 6 were living by 1900. Is that true do you think?
I have posted more pictures on my family tree, you are welcome to look at them. Check out the resemblence to Thomas. The Murray's had a very distinct mouth and jaw line. My aunt had an antique album with about 80 pictures in it and most of them were not identified. I was hoping that one day I would run into someone who also had the same pictures/ or people. My family tree is under Buzzard Family Tree, Check out the pictures with John Murray.

Thomas Cleary had six sisters and no brothers. Four of his sisters were still living when he died in 1908. I don't know if they came to this country or not. I do know Julia came her first with one of Thomas' sisters and brother-in-law. They landed in Boston. I don't know if they moved to this area or not.

I read the newspaper article on Thomas and Julia, now I realize that both his daughters died early. Now, I'm not sure who Thomas is referring to in his letter. In one of the letters he wrote to my gr-gr-gr-grandfather refers to "the girls" being in Chicago and the street address on Wabash Ave. and that they lived 5 stories up.
It has been talked about in my family that my gr-gr-grandmother worked in Chicago as a dressmaker and that she worked with her cousins in the dress shop.
Thomas refers to "Kate" in reference to Thomas Murray, his uncle. Laurie

Hi thanks for your reply, I would be very interested in any information or pictures you may have.
I have a Murray/ Cleary tie that I am trying to figure out thought that Julia may be the key.
Thomas Cleary was a nephew to my gr-gr-gr- grandfather, John Murray. {Only known because of an old letter addressed to "Dear Uncle" and sent to John Murray and signed by Thomas Cleary. It is believed that one of Johns 3 sisters may have married a Cleary.
Was wondering if Julia may have been a Duggan.
I have some pictures that have no identities, it would be great if you had some to match.
The Cleary girls moved to Chicago and my gr-gr- grandmother shared a place with them for a while.
Would love to talk more. My email abuzz53(a)yahoo.com
