After a long forced break I’m returning to Genealogy and the mystery of the Irish Branch. I suspect it’s a mystery as much as anything because I know nothing about Irish researches and the information I have is so limited. What I do have is:
Great Grandmother Jane Barnet born St Marylebone December 2, 1851 – Father John Barnett, Mother Jane Barnett, formerly Cleary.
From this I traced John & Janes Marriage certificate Bloomsbury 1 69 August 14, 1842:
John Barnett, Full Age, Shoemaker, Monmouth Street, Father Daniel Barnet, Shoemaker
Jane Cleary, Minor, , Porter Street, Michael Cleary, Tailor
Witnesses: Alexander Hapiefs (looks like) & Ann Taylor
The only Census Images I have show her ages 1851 – 28, 1871 – 49, 1881 – 57. Making her birth about 1821-1824.
Her birth location is variously shown as London and St. Clement Danes. She seems to have had at least 4 children all girls Ellen 1843, Mary 1846, Jane 1851 and Lucy Margaret 1862.
I also have a death for a Michael Cleary: Deaths Sep 1855 Cleary Michael St Giles 1b 213 I have not defined how to check if this is Jane’s father.
As for addresses for Jane:
August 14, 1842 Porter Street (Presumably St Giles) Marriage License
March 30th 1851 33 Union Street Marylebone All Souls Census
December 2, 1851 49 Union Street Marylebone Jane's Birth
April 2nd, 1871 13 Lil Compton St. St Anne Westminster Census
April 3rd, 1881 Bloomsbury Workhouse, Endell St., N. St Giles
So for Irish to date I’m in effect guessing because Cleary is such an unquestionably Irish Name.

All of those names sound so familiar, my ggrandfather was from Boston, Mass and he had siblings with those same names. His parents were Hannah and Patrick Cleary and they were from Ireland.
