My great grandmother was Johanna Cleary. She married John Fowler. My
grandmother was Bridget Agnes Fowler. I saw the inquiry about Bridget Cleary and
reference to The Valley of Slivevemore, I was reminded that my great uncle,
William Fowler had told my mother when she was a child, the she was related to
the Irish poet, Charles Kickham. I found some of his works, and one of them was
The Valley of Slivelamon, not sure of spelling, One of his sisters, Maria,
married James Cleary. Both Kickham and my grandmother were from Mullinahone,
County, Tipperary. I don't know if this helps. If there are any family
connections I would love to know.
Sincerely,
Alice Farley

My Patrick CLEARY, born around 1815 somewhere in Ireland was married to Margaret Devery. Their son Thomas CLEARY (1841-1904) came to New York in 1869 and lived in Manhattan where he married Esther Butler in 1871. Do you see any connection?

I am looking for a marriage date and list of children for Zachariah Cleary and Susannah Harmon. Zachariah was born in South Carolina in 1789 and Susannah was born in Pennsylvania in 1793. They had a daughter Arabel Hickman Cleary on October 13, 1819 in Greene County, Tennessee. Arabel married Jacob Bible Jan. 7, 1836.
Any help would be appreciated.
