Hi, I have cleary/Clary family from WA. John E. Clary. ( census spells back and forth Clary/Cleary) He m. Ida Quinn 1889 OR. I know that I have family somewhere, but trying to locate them is impossible. If any of this sounds familiar, I would appreciate any information, thanks in advance.
Jim: Some miscellaneous info which I uncovered in my CLEARY family tree. It
may be of some info to you:
My g'g'father was Patrick Cleary who married MARY HOGAN in Ireland
(date/place unk).
their son was Robert J. Cleary, DOB:11/16/1869, in the R.C. parish of Easkey
in the civil parish of Easky. Robert emigrated to US via NYC circa 1890.
Other issue of this marriage:
ANN - DOB: 5/11/1872, in Easky, Sligo - probably named after her aunt: ANN
HOGAN
MARY - DOB: 9/18/1866, at LEHARROW, Easky parish
BEESY - DOB: 3/13/1875, at Rathgoonan, Easky parish
Other residence locations mentioned: Barney & Cloonacool.
Patrick described at various times as a small farmer or laborer which I guess
is
a pretty generic term.
There is also evidence of a JOHN CLEARY renting land in Easkey in 1833, and
that
PETER & JAMES CLEARY were renting the same land in 1857.
I dont know what, if any, relationship existed among the above.
At the time of his marriage, Robert lived at 153 E. 52 St, NYC & thereafter at
Franklin Ave, Bronx, NY.
He was a NYC Police Officer.
If I can be of further help, please advise.

Hi All,
Looking to establish the marriage of William Cleary born 1825-1835, died
before 1875, married to either Mary Conway or Mary Hogan, in the Parish of
Inishcaltra or Scarriff, Counties Galway and Clare respectively. Marriage would have
taken place about 1859-1862. Two Cleary brothers came from the Curragh in
Kildare as grooms (horse grooms) to the Herberts before 1859. Post any replies,
suggestions, to Jim McNamara - JPMTCC(a)aol.com
Thanks,
Jim McNamara

THOMAS CLEARY (1841-1904) may have had brothers, JAMES CLEARY, JOHN CLEARY, PATRICK CLEARY, MICHAEL CLEARY in New York in the late 1800s. Would like to hear from Cleary folks who had ancestors in or near West 26th Street and Tenth Avenue. Family names include Margaret and Mary Cleary. Thomas Cleary married Esther Butler in NY in 1870s.
Mary Cleary, daughter of Thomas, married Abraham Joseph Lamb in New York 1899. Please contact Steve Lamb, imock98(a)aol.com.
