saints, and there were only two saints in Ireland...Pat and

Hi I was wondering if you had anything on Kathleen Cleary (she later became a Roth).
Thanks
Hi Barb,
Yes, I'm am sure that Patrick's first son was named Daniel. Patrick was
married to Bridget Dyer (b.around 1837 in Sligo). Children were: Daniel,
Bernard, Mary, John, James, Elizabeth, and twins Winifred and Patrick.
Winifred was my grandmother. They lived in Leominster, Massachusetts.

I have a Patrick within my family born 1833, County Kildare. Are you sure
of your Patrick's son's name--Daniel. My Patrick's children's names were:
James, Ann, John, William, Edward, Henry, Mary and Lucy. Could there be a
connection.
Barb
Hi,
My gggrandfather - Patrick Cleary was born around 1833. He and his brother
show up in the 1860 Massachusetts Census. Patrick was already married and
had a son (Daniel) by then. His date of birth is too far off to be your
grandfather's sibling. I wouldn't be surprised if they were related somehow
though. Too bad they didn't come up with more original first names - it
makes it hard to verify information when they all share the same names!
Good Luck with your search,
Jean Williams

Research by Waterford Heritage has probably found Joseph & Margaret around
Clonmel &/or Ardmore, together with siblings Patrick, James, John & Ellen,
but entire family seem to have disappeared by 1870 & I have been unable to
find any trace (Joseph & Margaret excepted) at all.

Dyer. Their children were: Daniel, Bernard, Mary, John, James,

G'day from OZ,
You have brothers Patrick & James CLEARY coming from Tipperary without mentioning a year. My grandfather, Joseph Patrick (b.1863/4) together with a sister, Margaret, children of Michael CLEARY & Catherine FARRELL came from either Tipperary &/or Waterford to Australia somehow or other by 1896. Research by Waterford Heritage has probably found Joseph & Margaret around Clonmel &/or Ardmore, together with siblings Patrick, James, John & Ellen, but entire family seem to have disappeared by 1870 & I have been unable to find any trace (Joseph & Margaret excepted) at all.
Long shot perhaps but if you don't ask you don't find out.
Best Regards,
Ross Cleary, Kiama Heights, NSW, Australia.

Thank you for this wonderful information. Patrick is such a common name I hope we are referring to the same person. My Patrick Cleary came from Tipperary to Massachusetts with a brother - James. No problem. Yr mail was not rude in any way.
My comment was directed to the fact that the names in yr inquiry had nothing
to do with Cleary.
Since I am looking into paternal g'father (Cleary) history, I wondered what
these names had to do with Cleary genealogy.
Sorry to say, I apparently erased the e-mail & cannot tell you the names
mentioned.
Good luck in yr quest.
Bob
Dear Marbob, I'm very sorry, I don't know what has happened or even what
mail you received. I am researching cleary and am on the Cleary mailing list
but last night I received a suspicious email and returned it to sender but
ever since then I have had email returning from the Mail administrator about
how mail is not getting through and some of them ar to my friends on my
address book. So far I have received 50 since last night. If any are getting
through I don't know what is on it or how this is happening. I'm very sorry
if it has been rude, I didn't open it so. If this is not what your mail is
about, could you please explain. Carole
