There was a Cleary man from Milltown who opened a bicycle shop and later garage in Dingle. His son still resides there. I feel he is a son of either Michael or Maurice.

I'm currently following a hunch that my CLEARY(sometimes spelled CLARY) family connects to CLEARYs in Hampden Co. Mass.
My ancestors William and Ellen (nee O'Brien) CLEARY come from County Waterford, Ireland probably around 1841-42 to Mass. A son, James, is born to them in Boston in 1842. Later they settle in the S. Berwick Me./Rollinsford N.H. area.
William serves and dies in the Civil War in a letter home he mentions running into "Willie CLEARY", someone he has known previously, who is in a Mass. Unit. Seems likely this is a relative.
My William's daughter, Mary, marries Edward CASEY in 1871 in Boston and settles in Holyoke, Mass. My hunch is that she met Edward through relatives in this area of Mass. --very likely, CLEARY relatives.
Coincidentally there were sons of Wm. and Ellen CLEARY (both died as toddlers) named John and Timothy.
I'm not able yet to make a definitive connection but I'm working on it. I hope to locate descendants of Mary CLEARY CASEY who may know more of the story.

I will be sure to let you know. All the best of luck in your search.

Timothy,
Sorry, I have confused us both. The CLEARY, you are interested in is a Thomas and the CLEARY, I am interested in is a John P. CLEARY, a Police Officer, in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, born about 1891 MA, Fa. Ireland, and Mo. Ireland. He married Anna born about 1890 NY, Fa. NY, and Mo. NY. In 1920 Census, they had one son, Robert, 1 7/12 MA.
Apparently, everyone else is interested in Dennis. My mistake. Sorry.
Where, I got the 1880 Census information, is at the Family History Center, which every city has one. Either look it up in the telephone book, or on the internet. All information found there is free. You just have to pay for the paper you use in the copier machine. Or, if you send for film, that you may need in your research, you pay a rental fee of about $ 3.50.
I had no idea of the original spelling 'Cleireoch'; thank you for this information, and I find the information on the word Clergy, very interesting.
I hope you will keep me in mind when you get your family tree from County Limerick, and you do a look see for John P. Cleary.

I probally dont have to tell you but the original spelling for Cleary is Cleireoch. That is the Galic or Irish way of spelling. If you use slight imagination you can see where the word Clergy came from.I would be interested in the various ways of the spelling of Cleary and also of the siminar you attended.I am having my Cleary familly tree done for me in County Limerick where my familly came from and if there is a mention of Dennis Cleary or Denniis Clary I will be sure to let you know.

I have been looking for the whereabouts of Holy Selpechre cemetary in Philadelphia where my grandmother Mary Murphy is buried. Can you give me information on how to contact them to find where the cemetary and her grave might be located? Her sisters were also nuns.
Thanks for any help you can give me. I am new and frustrated at the genealogy research challenges that I seem to encounter.
