Well, my grandfather's people came from Canada ,,settled in US...were born in Canada in 1820 perhaps. Family tradition says they were Irish, but previous family research states that they originated in Lands End and in St. Catherine's, near London, England.
They attended the Anglican Church. The Clear who came from Canada was born 1n 1840 and died in 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri. His name was Charles Clear.
His son was named James Clear. As far as the family research placing the English place of origin.....I am not so sure about that.
Is anyone looking for a Charles Clear born in Canada?

I believe Patrick had two brothers, Dennis and Daniel. If this matches your three brothers, please contact me. Sorry I didn't write before this.
