Hi Sue
You have hit the right button.
First can you give me some Clayworth names
in your direct line.
I must warn you that nearly all the clayworths in Australia are decended
from a convict named Cleworth.
But you never know
Best Wishes

I am new to this list and I would like to make contact with anyone who had Clayworths who came to Australia. I have Clayworths in my family but haven't been able to trace them outside of Australia.

Sue,
I don't think I'm on the rootsweb list anymore as I was having trouble getting the info that I wanted, but to respond to your Clayworth question....My Clayworths came to the U.S. from England. They settled in Ohio and later moved to Iowa and Kansas. My grandmother was a Clayworth. I wonder if your family could have been part of mine back in England. I'm at work and don't have the dates mine branch immigrated to America, but I think it was the late 1700's or early 1800's. I'll add my aol address in case you want to connect with me directly. I take it that you live in Austrailia. I'm in California...near Sacramento.
