Well, here I am looking at my CLAYWORTHs in the 1901 census. AT LAST!
Yippee!!!!
No doubt there may be times when I get the dreaded server busy message but
for now I'm happy.

Hi Guys,
Wow, it's been a while since any messages were posted to this list, isn't
it?
I managed to find my Robert Clayworth yesterday at the 1901 census site BUT
I couldn't find him when I inputted his birthplace; I soon found out why.
The birthplace given in 1901 was Derby Town, DBY not Liverpool, LAN. So
don't use the birthplace option just in case.
His mother was born in Belper, DBY but you'd think after 52 years he'd know
where he was born or at least Ann, his wife, would know after 21 years of
marriage. *-)
Take care and good luck getting into the census site.

...I'm glad I didn't pay to view the image because when I went back to
search again I got the server busy message.
I figure for now I shall just search for individuals that I know should be
in the same household (therefore not having to pay to see the rest of the
members of the household) and build up a family that way. Then when the
server is less busy (it will happen eventually <grin>) I will go back and
pay to view the census pages. Viewing the census page will then give me any
additional family members I don't know about.
I know it's a long-winded way of doing it but I want to be sure that when I
pay for access I will still have that access 48 hours later if I should
suspend my session.
The one ancester I did find is definitely mine and it gives me where he was
living in 1901. He didn't move too far but died 4 years later in his
birthplace a little way from where he was in 1901. Interesting. Now I shall
search for his wife. *-)
Take care
Jayne
