Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Wishing you all the best for a Happy New Year and a wonderful 2002.
Many of you have already welcomed 2002 and many of us are still waiting for
the new year to arrive but no matter where you are or what you're doing
don't forget Jan 2nd, 2002 is a very important day for we family history
researchers.
As you know this is the day from 9am GMT we get to view the 1901 census
albeit online so many of us probably won't get in for days but we can only
try can't we? Good luck with your searches and I hope you find all those
missing ancestors that have plagued you for the last 10 years and are able
to bring down some of those darn brick walls.
The site to use is: http://www.census.pro.gov.uk/ (unless someone knows
otherwise) The site appears to be down at the moment, maybe they're
preparing themselves for the big rush. *-)
Anyway, all the best, have a great time and see you next year (maybe in
person you never know <wink>).
Take care,
Jayne
Hi Everyone,
Just a note to let you know that a spammer is on its rounds. I even got a
message saying my email address had been harvested from my own website!
If you receive a message with the subject line "WARNING: A SPAM Robot
harvested your email address!" from Champ Mitchell just ignore it and send
it off to the trash bin.
Happy New Year.
All the best.
Jayne
As we all head into our own festivities I would like to take this moment to
wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
This year has been one of heartbreaking sorrow for many reasons. Lets not
forget those who perished on 9/11 and let our thoughts be with those who
lost loved ones on that awful day.
Take care everyone and all the best.
Love
Jayne
