Nope. I'm stll searching for someone who might be related to the Clayton's
who were in Georgia, then moved to Kentucky.
Mose L. Clayton was born in Princeton, Caldwell County, Kentucky, b: Sept.
27, 1821.
When he was 12 years old, he moved, with his family, to Morgan County,
Illinois. They may have in Missouri for a period of time on the way to Illinois.
They had a farm close to the town of Franklin, Illinois.

I am trying to contact any descendants or relatives of this Clayton family
who lived in Leigh, Lancashire, England in the 1901 census ref. RG13/3592
f109 p25.
In the 1901 census, the family was living at 26 Navigation Street and I've
transcribed the entry as:
William Clayton, Hd, Marr, age 92, no occ, born Holland (English) - possibly
Up Holland, a town near Wigan
Mary Clayton, Wife, Marr, age 63, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
Edith Emma Clayton, Dau, Single, age 20, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
John Clayton, Grandson, Single, age 11, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
Mary Clayton, Granddau, Single, age 9, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
Wm Clayton, Grandson, Single, age 5, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
Emmanuel Law, Son-in-law, Marr, age 34, Coal Dataller, Heckmondwike Yorks
(from the 1881 census, he might be fibbing about this age)
Ellen Law, Dau, Marr, age 29, no occ, born Leigh Lancs
Herbert Law, Grandson, Single, age 9, no occ, born Leigh Lancs.
This is probably the family in the 1881 census:

In 1920, the family or part of it lived at 7 Arthur Street, Leigh which was
very near Navigation Street.
Any ideas or contacts gratefully received
Many thanks

There very well could be a connection to my line with as you say the Willis
Clayton name. I have been told that Nancy father was one of the two brothers.
One of the brothers was related to Judge Clayton of renown life in MS. Nancy
and Joel Harvey had their first child in Washington Co., GA but do not know if
her parents were there because she married Joel in VA eventually they ended up
in MS. So as you can see I cannot tell you anything definite. However I just
went back to my hand written info and see that "Our Kin" mentions that John
Willis Claytons wife was Mary maybe Harrison. ?? Let me play with this some and
get back to you. I have not worked on my genealogy for a number of years and
then joined the lists again and have let my messages pile up. Trying now to dig
through and delete and then answer which ones might be a connection. If you do
not hear from me in a week or so holler at me and I will dig deeper.

The census taker never included the locality, only the State.
I have been stuck for years trying to find, for sure, the parents of Moses L.
Clayton.
I feel pretty sure the father of Moses L. Clayton was a John Clayton, but
have never been able to prove it. The early census reports did not include the
names of the family, only the head of the family.
