According to will of Sarah Clayton, widow of George Clayton, 30 Oct. 1800,
Iredell Co., NC, Sarah does not mention her daughter Rebecca Oliphant (b.
c1747), m. Robert Oliphant. Instead, she gives to "grand son Lambert Oliphant
one bed stopel home spun tick with the furniture Belonging to it."
Does anyone have any information on this Rebecca Oliphant and when she died?

At the moment, I can't find the exact source: however, it is in Rowan
County; and as I recall is bound in the back and upside down in the Loose
Estates book. There is no date on the will. But appears to be a 1786 will.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to make George and Sarah's wills
available. Its greatly appreciated. Do you have the date George's will was
written, and what will book, etc., it was found in?

I don't have a copy of the will; does it mention Hannah as Hannah Neill? I
have been led to believe that Sarah's 1800 will names Hannah Neill.

Do you have the documentation on George Clayton's wife? And have you seen her
will in Iredell Co? Does it mention Hannah as Hannah Neill?
> Hannah Clayton, b. abt. 1759, Rowan Co., NC, m. ? Neel, abt. 1779.
She married James Neill.
According to the information I have (not documented), their first child was
born, 1783, George Clayton Neill. If she was married 1779, that would give
her about 4 years to start having children. We can give her that space of
time, can't we? But we still need documentation, whatever it is -- bible,
marriage records, deeds, etc.
I'm most interested in the information you have on George Clayton. It seems
we are of the same family. Are you familiar with Virginia Green's work on
this family? If not, you may want to contact her. She has more information
than anyone I know on this family.
A copy of George Clayton's Will is in the book and Hannah is mentioned
as a daughter along with Rachel, Henrietta, Anna, and Margaret. The sons
named are George and Lambert. The wife is Sarah. Son in law is Alexander
Davidson. Will was written in Rowan County, North Carolina, 1786.
Look forward to hearing more from you.

Heres what I have on Sarah:
George Clayton m. Sarah Lambert Dodson abt. 1744 in King and Queen County,
Va., abt. 1744. She was born abt. 1724, Brunswick Co., Va., daughter of
Lambert Dodson, and died 1800, Iredell Co., NC.
Hannah Clayton, b. abt. 1759, Rowan Co., NC, m. ? Neel, abt. 1779.
George Clayton's will, so I am told, apeared in Book C, p 95, Rowan Co., NC,
and names daughter Hannah, among other children.
I have a note sent to me that Sarah Clayton had will in Iredell Co., NC, 1800.
Can anyone help?
Pricia Burk Paulkovich
Need documentation of parents of Hannah Clayton, born prob before 1770
(married James Neill about 1782, probably in Burke Co., NC) .
I have two bits of information claiming parents of Hannah Clayton Neill:
George Clayton and Sarah Lambert OR
George Clayton (1723-1786) and Sarah Dodson.
I have no documentation on these claims; just information from correspondence.
Another message will be about wills of George and Sarah Clayton.
I don't have many names on this branch so I can't say.
I'm related through Mary Hart, his wife.
John was born 11/1853 and died sometime between 1900 and 1930.
I should have given this time reference in my first message.

Hello,
Looking for info on Isaac Clayton, born 1840, Perry County, Ohio, I believe his mother's name was Mary, and she was born in 1810, Isaac probably also had a sister, Julia, born in Perry County, Ohio, about 1838.
Thanks,
jb
Hello : I am seeking help with the ISAAC BROWN/MARY CLAYTON family. Believe
Mary was the 1st wife. Isaac Brown's will was filed in Perry Co. OH in 1853.
I have reason to believe that they had a son, JOHN BROWN born abt 1797 who
married SOPHIA RANDOLPH in Perry Co, OH 1821.
If anyone has any info on this family or their relatives, I would appreciate
hearing from you. You may email me directly: linedew(a)aol.com
Thanks.
